I recently came by a quote that said something along the lines of, you don’t need to spend less time on social media, just make sure that time is filled with things that inspire you and push you to work harder.
I’ve always been worried about time that I might be wasting scrolling through Instagram, tapping through Snapchats stories and watching random videos on Facebook. I’m always thinking about how I probably should be doing something else. I’ve been trying to limit my time on each of these apps or at least utilize them a little better because the time I spent on them was just insane. I’ve been using Instagram, obviously for posting cute pics and looking at everyone else’s, also for following daily affirmations, quotes, motivational posts and horoscope accounts. I know it sounds super cheesy to just read through qoutes, but it honestly is very helpful.
By doing just that I learned a whole lot about different people’s perspective on shared experiences, advice on some recent struggles and motivation to keep pushing myself further. I spend some time in the morning and before I go to bed saving quotes, advice and stories. I realized that it has been putting me in a better head space to start my day right and to go to bed with good thoughts. Most of the quotes I end up saving are about self-care and healing.
